In a significant move that will delight entry-level smartphone users, Samsung has released the stable Android 16-based One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A06 4G and Galaxy A07 4G models. This is a major upgrade that will significantly improve the user experience and performance of both devices.
Update for the entry-level A series
This major update, approximately 2.3 GB in size, is being rolled out first to users in the Southeast Asian market. The update is currently available for download in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Samsung is expected to expand the rollout to other countries soon.
The software and security patches included with the new One UI 8 version vary between models. While the update for the Galaxy A06 4G has software version number A065FXXU7CYJ8, it unfortunately comes with the September 2025 Android security patch.
The Galaxy A07 4G is receiving the more recent October 2025 Android security patch, along with software version A075FXXU1BYJA. If you live in the countries mentioned above and own a Samsung Galaxy A06 4G or Galaxy A07 4G, you can manually check for the update.
You can check for the update immediately by going to your phone’s Settings > Software Update menu.
